Warhol Soup

A bit out of date, but I had to share thisĀ  as it relates directly to yesterday’s post about Beuys, Duchamp and the Ready-Made. Another case of out of the grocery store and into the gallery and now out of the gallery and into the grocery store! Go Andy! I hope they sold it in Yorkshire lad…

Campbells released 1.2 million special 50th anniversary cans of soup in homage to Warhol’s iconic painting from the early sixties. I would love to get my hands on some of these labels, if any of my US buddies have any lying around… As they were released in 2012, I am guessing they have long gone by now.

The Ready-Made

Due to forced immobility and a Visual Culture 1 assignment I have spent a day rolling around in Boltanski’s clothing heaps, playing with Duchamps snowshovel and riding on Joseph Beuys sled. I forgot to pack the animal fat (ick!)

So here we have, the Ready-Mades… via my iPad…
