Goodbye summer

Thank you, for the blessings you gave

for not burning me too badly

for Cable Bay

for the grapes and

tomatoes and basil and mint and friends

Thank you for the breezes in the evenings

for the midnight swim in the pool at Tintagel

where we lie on our backs

watching the moon and stars between the tree’s

And a special mention

for the letting go of him,

and of pain.
